About Arbitrage Betting Alpha

Free arbitrage and hedge calculators, with guides that show the math.

Who runs the site

Arbitrage Betting Alpha is written and maintained by a small editorial team that studies sports betting prices. The site publishes free calculators and guides on arbitrage and hedging. It does not take bets or sell picks.

What the calculators do

The arbitrage calculator splits a total stake across every outcome so each one returns the same amount, and it shows what rounding to whole dollars costs. The hedge and middle calculator sizes a second bet against one you already hold. The odds converter moves between American odds, decimal odds and implied probability. All three run in your browser, and the numbers you enter aren’t sent to us or stored.

How the math is checked

Every worked example in a guide is recalculated from its stated prices before the guide goes up, and the result has to match what the calculators return for the same inputs. Fee figures for prediction markets come from each platform’s published fee schedule.

How guides are dated

Guides are credited to the Arbitrage Betting Alpha Editorial Team, and each one shows the date it was published or last updated. When a fee schedule, a sportsbook rule or a state law changes, the guide is updated and its date changes with it. When we find an error, we fix it and the date changes too.

A note on risk

Arbitrage locks in a result only when every leg is placed at the prices you sized it on. A price that moves before the second bet goes in can turn an arb into a loss. If gambling has become a problem, call 1-800-MY-RESET.
